@very-rusty saidYour hero worship is duly noted, though your standards aren't very high.
LOL@ Andy! Why did you revive the thread?
Why was it this particular one, any reason?
I was looking for an old thread in the Posers Forum when I came across this one, which started in General and later switched over. I thought other members would enjoy the nostalgia.
Aside from that, I saw little humor in Bobby's preaching or his choices of counterfeiter, murderer and slave as the three oldest professions.
I suppose his threads seemed significant to you, whether you read them or not.
@handyandy saidBy the way, the oldest profession is sales, selling.

@divegeester saidProstitution is the oldest profession.

Men are pigs...yet, women adore pigs.

@divegeester saidThis caught my interest so I asked my friend 'google'
Prostitution is selling, the selling of one’s body.
Selling as a transactional exchange of one service or good for another series of good occurred before prostitution.
I got a couple of interesting results:
What is the first oldest profession?
The earliest human ancestors began making stone tools about 2.6 million years ago, which means that toolmaker is the oldest profession in the world.
Why prostitution is called the oldest profession?
implored us to stand shoulder to shoulder and destroy what Kipling has called 'the oldest profession in the world'". The phrase was frequently used as a euphemism when delicacy forbade direct reference to prostitution.

@divegeester saidAnd was the first thing sold explosives, perhaps? (The Big "Bang" Theory) 🤔

@very-rusty saidHow so?

@great-big-stees saidProbably some kind of rudimentary trading of possessions or food.

@divegeester saidI wasn't there to see it of course, that is what google told me! 😉
How so?
Makes me wonder how much of our history is accurate?

@divegeester saidGrog: "Me want your woman."
Probably some kind of rudimentary trading of possessions or food.
Thor: "OK but me want your club."
Grog: "Sounds good...shake."
@great-big-stees saidAlong those lines...
Grog: "Me want your woman."
Thor: "OK but me want your club."
Grog: "Sounds good...shake."

@great-big-stees saidI thought back in the cave man times things were done way differently. 😉

Perhaps we have to go a little pass that time when the strong survived and weak didn't to get to the point of things actually being traded back and forth.
Again I wasn't there to see it! 😉
