So it's okay for a 17 year old to sleep with a 12 year old then? Just where would you put the cut off point? And how could you justify killing an 18 year old for committing the crime but letting a 17 year old off?

The same applys if you have sex with anyone of any age who did not give permission.

I have no problem with your suggestion. It still wouldn't help with the scenario suggested though. I think in some countries that they actually do have similar liberal laws to what you suggested.
