The one that gets the most use is the microwave. When my stove broke down just one evening before guests were to come to Thanksgiving dinner, I made the entire meal in it....turkey and all but the gravy. I made that in the electric frypan. Luckily, I had a special bag that allowed the turkey to brown. I was baking the pumpkin pies the night before when the stove would not go off. Had to turn off the switch at the fusebox. The crust was burnt, so I turned the pie into bars. The guests never knew!

for electrical appliances my favorite would have to be the blender with the food processor a close second. although they do make a good case for the kettle.
as for non electrical things i have in my kitchen i couldn't live without the twister things that take bones out of fish, that would be my favorite thing in the kitchen.

Coffeemaker all the way.
If I didn't get coffee before I got to work, people would die.
I was in a hotel this weekend and they served "naked" espresso. After some dialogue with the waitress I still wasn't clear as to what this was, but I had one, and I rec'd it if you are a true lover of great a neck-jerker.

Agreed.

Are you familiar with a "naked" espresso? Apparently it is less filtered.
You use a special portafilter that has no bottom (thus "naked" ) so that you can see the stuff coming out the bottom so you can determine if it is soaking thru all the grounds instead of just channeling through in one spot. This results in a more uniform, consistent taste, instead of getting the occasional watery, "blah" espresso shot.
It also looks cool...
