I think Blitz is the death of pure chess art. If someone can play at a 1900 Blitz level, they should certainly be able to have a 2000-2100 (200 points better) standar ...[text shortened]... finally made a move in your lost game to me. Hurry up! I need those points, New York. hehe
I say, great OTB players become great blitz players since they have the experience. I believe if you play good OTB then blitz will come naturally after some years.

There's a lot of players who completely waste me at blitz but when it comes to normal time OTB I crush them. They make fun of me because of my low blitz rating but most of our tournaments with prizes use long time control and so I have the last laugh.

Think of all the good otb gm's. Aren't they good at blitz also?

I was expecting to get clobbered playing the Alekhine's defense against Larry Christiansen in an ICC simul, somehow managed to survive this. He was under severe time pressure on a few other boards near the end, hence the blunders.

As said, it's a computer software which plays chess.

BUT it's against the rules in RHP. As a matter of fact, it's against the rules in all correspondence chess sites I know.

Anyway, correspondence chess is about learning & fun, right?

I believe the ICCF permits it.

ICCF doesn't say anything about it.
Which means each site makes its own rules about it.
But it's generally forbidden.
Even if it weren't, not everything that is legal is ethical.

So they're not weekly? Who did you beat? Where? Ratings? And surely you don't just decide to forget about games where you beat a titled player, or is this the case for you because you win against so many of them?

I said I played those games in last weekend...

I already said I did beat one national master...OTB...

and what do you mean by saying "you dont just decide to forget about games....etc". Do you think I can remember all the moves from one particular game??

Of course I can tell the moves from OTB games as I had to write them down...but from internet blitz/bullet games??...no way!

Nowadays, I dont even play so much blitz on internet as I did before, mostly because my playchess account has expired. And another great site, Chess21, is closed...

So when you beat a titled player, you decided that you wouldn't even bother the c&p the PGN, for memories sake, and to boast about? Because at the moment, as far as I'm concerned, all you're doing is spouting a load of crap to boost your ego.

yes! finally you got the point. winning NMs or FMs or even IMs on internet is not that big thing. or at least it shouldnt be. blitz is blitz, anything can happen...
