I didn't accuse either of cheating. I never even mentioned TRAINS44's name.
Originally posted by zakkwylderYou must admit zakkwylder, her improvement in 3 months is really quite a feet. I wouldn't bother to ask, but when I checked the said player, my eyes just GAUGED in SHOCK. It was a reactionary thing to do, and when I compared games, the shock factor continued.

I apologize, it was all just a shock, and there's no point whining about cheaters (which is why I attacked tolik, and besides, anyone without cheating could beat him in his games). Personally I don't bother, because I feel chess sites are too slow in reacting and they only remove the bad/obvious/without a doubt cheaters. The good/crafty cheaters stay. The general, "you're not allowed to discuss it" rule on online chess sites just makes life even easier for cheaters. Also, chess sites take too much into consideration when players who spout, "I know this player personally, he's my friend, he doesn't cheat!" (that's a giveaway in any court), in fear of losing revenue from these players.
So, you come here to work on your game, and if you use an engine, you're just cheating yourself, because you will never get better.

There is no way for the mods to police the entire site....I thought the original poster handled it tactfully by merely "marveling" at the accomplishment.
And hey -- one post from you stating your distaste -- quite sufficient. Harranging the guy ... sure if you want to. I point out, though, that you are being quite the hypocrite as you are "playing mod" yourself.

Originally posted by nonnymooseTrue, that's why I'm against the rule: "the communities of chess should not discuss cheating". It's not like the 5-10 or so mods they chose can enforce the law of the land by themselves with over thousands of players! He implies I accused someone. I didn't accuse her of anything or imply anything. I didn't say she was guilty or innocent of any wrong-doing, I didn't mention cheating until he did, and I didn't throw around the word "cheat, witch, cheat, witch!" I just said, as you put it, that's a miraculous improvement under any circumstance, it was just a general observation.

The mods can dicide to look at it if they want and if they feel it warrants an investigation, otherwise, I don't care. Maybe they already looked anyways long before.
Nonny, you're right, there is one thing I cannot stand, and that is vigilantes who feel the need to remove me for merely pointing out a fact (it is a fact she went from an average mean of 1450 to 2000 in just 3 months) they disliked or made them uncomfortable, it's like they have something to hide. For the first time I agree with Nazarov. I just don't understand this thread and what's the deal with people get panties in a knot over merely pointing out someone's improvement record. (I know this is a sexist statement, but I didn't know how else to descripe it). Even Trains, the one who started this thread and challenged the said player, stated her improvement was spectacular as he only improved 1400-1800 in a year, while she went 1400-2000 in 3 months!
I think people just need to RELAX a bit.

Ms. Nyxie...May I please have the honour (or HONOR,.whatever Bowmann thinks is correct) of a rematch, being you beat me without mercy, recently. And I'll play white, should you agree, and I hope you do! If no game is desired, that is okay, no prob! Good luck and if you are ready, I am.
Sincerely, Trains44
