So the question remains, has anybody pm'd russ about it? I'd send him one, but don't want to flood him with the same issue if others have already done so.

I'd say mail him. But here's a question - what if he'd taken the King?

Ok, I sent him a pm.

Good question. You can be sure that if I ever got the opportunity to capture my opponent's king. I wouldn't pass it up. 🙂

Two other moves in the game are a little dodgy:

21. d1e2
28. e2d3

The game did NOT unfold as the replay shows. There are three snenarios; what should have happened, what actually happened, and the replay's depiction of what happened.

I don't know what to do. *shrug*

All I know is I lost SEVERAL pieces as a result of the bug and may not come out on top now.

Just stop playing and send feedback.

There's a 1 day time out with 0 time bank. Ceasing play is not an option.

Very strange.

Despite all the strange invisible pawn moves there is something else wrong. When I looked at the game, the King was on e5 (move 34w), but when you go one step back, it actually is on f1. That's a flying King.

Here is wisdom:

just what I was thinking.... major, major, MAJOR blunder on Black's part!!!

I wonder if Black tried to take the king when he saw the board, and maybe the program wouldn't let him...

Imagine Chessmaster commenting on Black's 14th Move...

"Queen takes b2...YIKES! MUCH better is Queen takes f2, leading to Rook(h) takes f2 which wins a King for a Queen.

This was Black's only meaningful blunder..."

I'll take a look a this tomorrow and post back.

Any bug like of this nature is obviously serious, so I will need to spend quite a bit of time investigating it.

The error appears to occur at move 8.

White moves the King to e2, but the board shows it having moved to f1.

In the last position (move 34), the King is really on e5.

Like I said, there was no blunder on black's part. In the actual game, he never even had a chance to "take my king", as the replay shows he did. Again, what actually transpired and what the replay shows are conflicting. Of course, niether is how things should have gone.

As I mentioned above (although many may not have read it as such), I would think that its a practical joke on the part of the developers. Or the work of satan. Either way, its pretty cool.

Definatly something weird happening at white move 13, says e2 to d1, which is illegal, if there was something there, if pawns could in fact move like that. Then on white move 14 the king is still in check, yet doesn't need to stop it??
He won the game though. The black player should have taken the king with the queen though.
