engine
Originally posted by sonhouse2507 is the highest ever attained by an engine on here, engines use to top out at 2350-2450. Back in the day when engines were banned thousands of points were removed from the system. Now this doesn't happen, I think that has caused some rating inflation. Also, more engines = more rating points jammed into the top 1%.

The highest rating ever is User 558671. He created multiple accounts to get that rating, a quick look through his history shows his other accounts.
Originally posted by KnightStalker47How could he have possibly done that? max rating of 3021 - 1200 to start, he added 1821 points in 20 games. That is 90+ points per game. How is that possible? I thought the most you could gain in one game would be something like 32 points. At that rate, he would have only been to 1840. This doesn't make sense.

Originally posted by sonhouseRatings are calculated a little differently for provisionally rated players (The first 20 games). If you win your first game on the site, your rating = your opponents rating + 400. He was actually rated 3060 after just one game, the other wins caused his rating to drop.

Am I mistaken? are engines now allowed?
