After all, there are cases where what would be a reasonable Tal move would be completely out of character for Petrosian, and vice versa.

The two opponents are 1 win and 2 draws each against eachother.

Some serious rating inflation going on. 15 people, well, CPU's, over 2400 now. That is unprecedented.

All you need is access to the PGNs and some CPU cycles

Yep - so many of the moves are nothing that I see the logic too

Just for fun... the program that generates this is mine so potentially I could have made a mistake ( I haven't run it or checked it in a year or so )... I use stockfish as the analysis engine coz it's free.. I have a fairly ancient i3.. I tend to keep the depth and maximum time per move low because I'm impatient ( which generally skews the figures downwards )....

I have complained to redhotpawn about engine users such as cenerentola, Ulf, TheBigKat, etc to no avail. They don't even grant me a response. King Tiger has also with no response. It becoming an epidemic on this site. If you look closely at profiles, how can a player play on this site for years at a much lower level (like 1500) and the suddenly shoot up into the 23-2400 range in a year while playing a lot games at once?

I have come to the conclusion is that redhotpawn will do nothing. If I play one of these players now I just resign immediately or let my clock run out - although that is more of an annoyance to me then my opponent since I have to keep skipping that game waiting for a move!

It is really a shame. I drew cen in the first round of the memorial tournament. You entered a tournament and you have no chance in win (not that I expect to win, but at least I have a chance). I let my clock run out here and just played the rest of the pool. In another tournament I drew Ulf and just resigned immediately.

I just tried to send Cener a PM and found I am on his ignore list. How bout this: Lets ALL of us send him PM's and see what happens, find out how many people he can put on ignore list. Anyone up for that? Just a PM saying something like, 'we know you use engines' is all it takes.

The first page is a joke, and most of the serious chess playing are leaving or have already left. If the forums weren't so good (and a lot of good people have left there too), this site would be in dire straits.
I am playing in the 2014 May Long Haul Quartets I 1550-1700.
An enjoyable 1st round but in the 2nd we all have to play Ulf t.
2 of the 7 players who got through to round 2 stopped playing on RHP at the same time that round 2 started.Maybe because of Ulf t but I have no way of knowing. The remaining players are moving as slowly as possible with the hope,at least in my case, that he is banned before he wins and the rest of us can fight for the win.
It's all very sad.
And, who did win 2014 championship?

Ulf scored the most points in the final round, but no official winner has been announced. I'll leave you to wonder why that might be.

Looks like Ulf left the building. One less big kat.
