Is English a foreign language to you or what? What do you understand by being a fallacy. Play chess without consulting the internet or chess books.
When I was learning chess there was no correspondence chess with the allowance for consulting opening books, you had to learn it properly and be hammered over the board. I've never seen a tournament che ...[text shortened]... you can move the pieces or consult a chess opening book; if you have heard of one tell me.
And you think I'm the one with the language problem. 😛🙄
Correspondence chess tournaments do allow, even encourage, the use of books and databases. Once again, you have no idea what you're talking about.

Can we get back on topic please, anyone who needs to take "English as a Foreign language" can pm me or google for help. I believe TOEFL or test of english as a foreign language may already be available in your locality.
People play correspondence chess or blitz chess without seeking to improve their true OTB chess. It is not unsurprising for "highly rated" ...[text shortened]... guments - it simply demonstrates rather than disproves the "learn chess properly concept".

I find that correspondance chess is a great way to learn how to play the game well... the best part about it is that you can research lines on the internet while you are playing them against real opponents, this seems to commit them to memory alot easier... and thus helps improve OTB play!
Agree or disagree?
Originally posted by z00tsome do, some don't. some play CC for fun, some to analyze thoroughly and to learn. in essence, CC is the search for the best possible play. how can that not be seeking to improve?

I'm not going to lower myself to your pathetic level. Your bullying and insults send a putred smell thoughout this forum. Having to deal with people like you is one of the primary reasons I have not become a paying member of RHP.
Tommy has covered the accusations and he's right. You accused someone of cheating, reiterated the accusation and now you're doing it again. You also claimed that admitting to using Winboard was admitting to cheating. This shows a clear misunderstanding of what Winboard is. Classy from start to finish.
As for using the analyse board, it's crap. Simple as that.
