I just want to see a refutation of what he did (showing that it's not possible), or an affirmative demonstration that it can be done (by someone other than Brown).

Are some people that concerned about rating points rather than playing an interesting game of chess that they would actually do this? Please don't answer this question - it's intended to be rhetorical.

I don't know about other people's concern, but my concern is just to understand what he did, and to debunk it if possible. I'm not thinking at all about how it would be duplicated here. If it's true, it would still cause someone to split games, and I'd rather not have the losses.

Thanks for the link to the thread. That pretty well explains it. I hope the conclusion to the matter was that this activity is not allowed on RHP.
