I didn't want to search through the enitre thread but I have heard a good response is 1.e4 e5 2.f4 Qh4+ which forces 3.g3 and further accentuates the weakness in the kingside, and because the pawn cannot move backward that weakness will exist the entire game. Black should then retreat the queen to e7 and mount a kingside attack on the light squares.
1.e4 e5 2.f4 Qh3+ 3.g3 Qe7 4.Nf3 exf4 5.gxf4
Im not sure who would play Nf3 in that position 🙂 4.Nc3 is Gallaghers suggestion but it seems black gets quite a bit of fun in this line.
4.Bg2 is playable which black would probably meet with h5
4.d3 is considered by theory to be the best move, white shouldnt have any trouble.
Besides surely after 1.e4 e5 2.f4 Qh3+ 3.g3 Qe7 4.Nf3?! exf4 5.gxf4?? Qxe4 is just winning for black, I cant see any white compensation in the position. Blacks queen might be a little misplaced but I doubt it will cause black a lot of bother especially with weaknesses (f4 pawn and exposed king) in whites position.
