Originally posted by KnightStalker47How does white have a decent posistion when his king is on e3 before the middle game starts? Black has a few moves to choose from...most notable being my favorite Nh6...white is still cramped up..and white will have to spend yet another tempo to get his king out of the way..thereby giving black yet another boost in the game... White doesn't have a lost game yet..but they're on the verge of having one.
After 5..d4 then 6.d3! dxe3 7.Bxe3 Bxe3 8.Kxe3, then white has a decent position.

All will fear the Hammerschlag. I have proved it's worth by using it against a 1729 rated player who is just as good, if not a better player then I.

Im seriously considering using this opening for all my CC games as well๐

You underestimate it ๐. You should join the Hammerschlag thematic tournament, then you can see how good it is.
But objectively it is a weak opening and harly a good choice in correspondence chess.
