To say I Don't "Use' Databases would be I lie Im often reading on Midgame theory(where i am weakest) or going through others games and imagining new lines.
However when I'm Playing a game here(or anywhere) I Dont reffer to any material. Most of what I read(and understand) I retain so its usually not a problem anyways.
I Also have this bad habit of ignoring things I learn. I Took time to Study the French a while back(Its go to know its in and outs on either side) and I think I have honestly Never played it in a game. Instead I'll opt for 1...e5 2...f6 to force queen side because im more comfortable there. And now I've digressed Sorry
