No, because in an actual tournament you have clocks to deal with.
Interesting. The fact that there are clocks would be the only thing stopping you from doing that during a tournament?

No, just the time it would take to analyze the board, if it was at 3+ hours a side and I was actually in a tournament, I can't see what'd stop me from analyzing the earlier game.

Why are so many strange persons drawn to chess?

If you look at it, chess is a very strange game (and racist, white over black, when was the last time you saw black go first๐Ÿ˜›)

Edit: personally it was only about a week ago, I had to explain that that's just how it works ๐Ÿ˜€

I'm not asking if you would analyze your earlier moves during a tournament game. I'm asking if you would ask someone else to do it.

How can you feel good about winning this game if you have to ask 10,000 people for help in a game, on this forum? I wouldnt. I dont think its fair to your opponent and besides it makes him(or her) feel great to see you ask for help. Gives the opponent a psychological advantage. Good luck.

I play almost all of my otb games against my grandfather, who insists upon always playing with the black pieces. We draw for going first. Makes the notation a bit strange when he wins the draws, but otherwise it isn't much of a problem. What's more of an issue is when I play otb with the black pieces against someone else--I'm forever grabbing the f pawn, thinking it's the c. ๐Ÿ˜ณ
