You can ask for undos on playchess too, as long as its unrated. While yahoo does cater for en passent, if you do do it people will start to call you cheat and ask where there pawn went.

I gave you my advice. Either cheat on Yahoo or don't play there at all.
Picture this:
You are playing great undefeated have a 1750 rating on yahoo. All of sudden you lose to someone, so you play a rematch and lose over and over again. Your really mad about it, wrecked your whole day and you find out he was cheating.
That's yahoo for you.
Another s ...[text shortened]... o chess.
Although the poker there is fun and I don't think there are cheaters for that.
So why complain about them? What about your morals, and sense of ethics?
dont have any, i see.....
what about the players who wer'nt cheaters? was it ok to beat them with Fritz?
Maybe Yahoo is full of cheaters, because of players like you...๐

make sure u have a REALLY good connection and play 1 0 there.
my friend does that and he has a 2200 rating (and he's not that good )
Theres software you can buy to play for you there. (yahoo) This is a joke, who cares that you can win with software? whats a fake rating worth?
How to get to 1800??
Practice, practice, practice (and study.....A LOT!)

At least I created a different account. I stopped playing on yahoo, so frankly I could care less. I was just telling the poster there are cheaters on there, and yes I was a cheater there for a week under a different account, hence the red dot by that account name.

thats good. i would say getting 2000 on playchess equals getting 2500 on yahoo ๐
I had also 2000 bullet rating on playchess, but then my account expired...
I think the most cheaters on yahoo, would be at least 1600+ up to the red dots. For a free site you take your chances.
At least with 1 min, it makes it harder to cheat with, unless you had software to make your moves for you
Originally posted by GrandmousterWhich I didn't have! At least I was inputing the moves myself๐

BTW if you want to do this, make sure you adjust the fritz and yahoo timer. You need 3 seconds to transfter the move from
yahoo->fritz->yahoo.

Study tactics then endgames then middlegames then openings. Play lots of chess and learn from your mistakes.
Originally posted by bassoOpening theory seems to be under rated when learning. When people say the opening doesnt matter too much they normally do refer to which theory opening you play. If anyone is starting out and wants to improve id tell them to start off by learning the basic opening principles and maybe a couple of lines, that way they get a better chance of making it to the middle game or endgame with something comfortable and playable.
