Intermission part II
No1 has woken up and discovered that during the night sneaky
Swiss Gambit has gentlly rolled the ball back into his side of the court.
Who is really to blame for this never ending thread.
Diner Hank (who he?) he was the player of the White pieces
in the original game. A few moves before the position under
'debate', this position arose.
All White had to do was play 33.axb6+ and it's mate in two moves.
If he had then this thread would never had appeared.
I would not have stayed up all night giggling at the arguments.
I would not have slept in (again) and two retros puzzles would
not have appeared in the main Chess Forum.
Do you see the trouble one bad move can cause?
(White played 33.Qxe3)
Please think before you play a move at chess - bad moves can have
very dire consequences - witness this thread.
End of Intermission II

Just looked it up. After all these years of playing, I never knew this existed. Thank you very much. Also, I plan on letting my opponent know if he does not know about en passant already. Once again, thank you.
Sounds like a happy ending to me. Sorry, SG.
Originally posted by no1marauderYou know full well that they can't merely 'direct them to a portion of the site' without naming the type of move to look for.
If you're serious, you're completely deranged.
You really think that directing a player asking a question regarding the rules of the game to a portion of the site created with the intention of answering players' questions regarding the rules of the game is cheating?
That's 🙄
No matter how you try to word it, you cannot change the fact that information about what to move has been conveyed to a player by a 3rd party.
Originally posted by no1marauderThat's a great reason to justify a site policy ... "Well, player X seems to be pretty happy about it!" 🙄

"But I wanted the last word!" 🙁
"It's mine."
"I want it!"
"But I deserve it!"
"No you don't, I do!"
"C'mon! Can't you see I'm going to have the last word no matter what you say?!?"
"Ha! I'd like to see you try! The last word is mine! Ahh ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!"

"I know ... can't they just leave it alone? It's making me uncomfortable."
"Yeah, my dinner isn't settling well with all this tension."
"Ouch ... he just used one of those rolly-eye smileys ... I'm feeling nauseous."
"This thread serves as a grim reminder of all the hostility in the world. That's why I'm trapped here in my house, reading internet discussions to remind me of why I'm afraid to go outside." :'(:'(:'(

Hmmmm?
P-
Thread Thread 110759 has a very similiar theme
to the one discussed in this thread.
The SG v No1 debate started there, drifted onto here and has now
gone back to the Help Forum again...
Who knows it might then go onto the Debates Forum, this is
No1's home turf. SG will have a tough time there, but if SG can
get the thread into Puzzles & Posers he will win hands down.
OK people - over to the Help Forum.....Thread 110759
