Not only should they be polite but they shouldn't delete any posts that don't violate the TOS. Deleting a post just to make a little less work for yourself is lazy and an abuse of power.

My joke is still there at the 3rd time of posting.
I've had a poke back.
No real need for the rest to have a go at him.
It's finished as far as I'm concerned.

Me? I'd rather not sift through people making cheating claims because they see the green light on.

the story and your apology. I'm glad to see that the issue has been cleared
up for the parties involved.

another story.)

Oh c'mon Red... lets try to get some perspective here. From what I understand Crowley removed a post which 'could' be misleading to new people to the forum. Then later he seen the same post back on the forum from the same member. He was perfectly within his remit to issue a warning. The fact that GP took offence is nothing to do with the issue at hand. The witch hunt that has ensued is more to do with the usual TSM pissery than anything else.

You are right - there was a misunderstanding.
I was rushing to get through a bunch of alerted posts, saw a post that misleads a new member. Deleted it and a while later saw a repost and assumed GP was just trolling.
I didn't even know greenpawn existed until now, as I don't really frequent this forum.
You guys all seem to know and respect him - so I understand your reaction - although a few have gone a little too far.
Just remember that we volunteer our time and try our best to keep the forums clean and running smoothly.

Quite apart from whether the initial joke could have mislead new players, threatening a ban was silly. GP has contributed as much to this forum as anyone and a simple looking at a sample of his previous posts shows clearly that he never makes malicious posts. In fact, he's often the first to diffuse things when they threaten to get out of control. Before assuming someone is trolling, you should look a little bit at his history.
Hopefully, we can just chalk this up to a misunderstanding and move on.

Are you proposing parallel standards here?
I can't remember ever conversing with greenpawn, no. His avatar is slightly familiar, but that's it.
How much time do you think we have? I sure don't have the time to check posting history every time I have to take action and I don't know the poster. Preposterous.
