Originally posted by terminmaterSeems like I read a false statement about Fischer vs. Tal. I know Fischer was a awesome chess talent. I think he may have been the best ever, but then the debate go on. I count at this time some fourteen chess players that I wonder which one of them may be the best ever. Lets see. Photographic memery and a 187 IQ. Fischer had the tools to be a college graduate at about 12 years of age? Yes a waist of tallent. Wernher von Braun, Robert J. Oppenhimer, Albert Einstein , George Washington Carver, George Washington, General Charles Elwood Yeager,General Robert Edward Lee, and a lot of others that did not waist their talent. pluss I have not heard that they were jerks.
I saw where you said Tal never lost to Fischer. Thats not true although I believe Tal had a plus score overall against him. I'm looking in "My 60 Memorable Games" by Fischer . He won In Bled 1961 as white against the Sicilian. I'm sure he has won others. Its good to read what I've always thought-that Fisher was a big chicken really. Always with some ...[text shortened]... ad that in America people just hang on to him. Enough already. He is a sorry excuse for a human.
Originally posted by lloydkNo I do not think Mr. Tebb could beat him or any other players here on RHP. It would just be to easy for him.
Fischer would complain about the size of the diagram boards and whine about the chess piece options and drive Russ crazy. Then he'd trash talk about David Tebb and let himself get timed out of the first game of their match. My guess is Tebb would beat him, though, (given the number he did on Kasparov). That would leave Fischer to go find some place in an ...[text shortened]... ittle better here.
If we could just get Bent Larsen to join the Red Hot Pawn Stars...

Originally posted by collemanThis would be too hard to believe or good to be true. I find it hard to believe that such greats as Kasparov, Spassky, Karpov, Larsen ect. would play here; let alone the legend Fischer.
OK, OK, it is time the truth came out.
Bobby is alive and well and living in semi-reclusion here in Wales.
I speak with him regularly and persuaded him to join this site. He is, of course, IronMan31!

Originally posted by metal manI've already said too much and Bobby has told me to keep quiet.
Oh my Gosh are you serious? your kidding right?
He is worried that the press will get to know where he is and of course he is still concerned that there are some Russians looking for him, in fact he is a little bit paranoid about it.
Anyway I'm off to bed now. 😴

Finally, buying all these chess books and there is one that is actually worth something! Mine is in near perfect shape since I never used it much because it is written so deeply. For instance Fischer will say " IF he plays this then I of course would have played...." And then rattles off a ten move variation or two. Yeah I would have seen that...Thats one thing I like about RHP. I use the crap out of the analysis board.

Originally posted by gambit3Sorry,gambit3,but Fischer IS a sorry excuse for a human being. He knew exactly what he was saying when he praised the 9/11 attacks. Let him rot under whatever rock he's crawled under.
Let us not go so far as to call Fischer a sorry excuse of a person. Fischer has emotional problems. He is his own worse enemy. I hate what Fischer has become. He seems hopeless. He seems like a person snakebit than knocks the antivinin away stateing that you are trying to poison him.
