It can be quite a good idea to talk to a girl on the internet, if possible. That has always worked great for me, I get to find out what sort of a person they are and can say things that just wouldnt come out of my mouth in real life.
Well yeah, but if you have got to know the girl then you know what sort of thing she is interested in so it makes the conversation easier. And if the conversation is flowing more easily, you are less likely to be nervous.
One of my old problems was sometimes I might have a dream about a girl I know in real life being my girlfriend and decide that the dream was actually a premonition and that girl should be targeted relentlessly as we are destined to be together. I got alot further with girls once I learned to stop listening to my dreams and find out what they are actually like in real life rather then using my fantasy as a template.

there are two of them, maybe you could be a trio. There have been many good trios throughout history, Diana ross and the supremes, bob marley and the wailers, and four poofs and a piano (johnathan rosses backing singers - although there are only three of them who actually sing, hence the trio)
