Well, spend the effort to look up Corus 2005, round 5, Anand - Morozevich. More played on many moves being two pieces down with no compensation, not even the initiative. Was that embarassing? Yes it was. Did any player at that tournament call that bad sportmanship? No. They understood that it was a (perfectly legal) way to work out the frustration of a bad game.
I believe in chess you play the board, not the opponent. Just because you got owned doesn't give you the right to go on like a whiney b****(this isn't really a problem OTB but in correspondence someone could drag a game for months). Sure, you CAN do that, its not against the rules but in the words of Chris Rock "You could drive a car with your feet if you want to, but that don't make it a good f***ing idea."

So what if a game drags on for months? That's normal for correspondence games. If you can't handle the duration, stick to OTB chess.
Haha, i've been away for a few days and i come back to find everyone seems to be mistaking me for Ravello, LOL. Well my opponent has resigned now so it's all over. When i started this thread it wasn't to get any advice or to discuss the game, it was simply to vent my frustration as i don't see the point in moving the pieces back and forth for two or three weeks in a totally lost position. I won't be posting any more games in progress (as i doubt i'll ever have one so one sided again) so rest easy 😀

Ok, we've all had one. You know what im talking about, those opponents who don't resign even when their completely lost. Don't get me wrong, i'm all for battling out a game when your down but perhaps not out, but this just takes the piss!

I won't post any private game notes but yes, i posted good game, followed by a '?' and then a polite 'err, without wanting to be rude, etc...' but nothing seems to work. It's no problem really, i'll just wait and mate him in time, i just find it rather insulting.
Insulting will be asking him to resign.!!!

The game is ridiculous and James surely won't be stalemated ,since he's skilled enough to not make it happens (there's no choice for the lone king however).
I agree that we shouldn't be talk about games in progress, but this game simply has nothing to be discussed : this is a good example of poor sportmanship and how some players go ''mulish'' becaus ...[text shortened]... 1000-1100,but against a good 1600 it's a waste of time which he can use instead for a new game.
