Im pretty sure its drawn

for example:-

[FEN "1B3B1B/2B5/p6B/8/8/8/8/1k1K4 w - - 0 1"]

1. Bfg7 Ka2 2. Kc2 Ka3 3. Kc3 Ka4 4. Kc4 Ka3 5. Bc3 Ka4 6. Bc1 a5 *

now black can just repeat Ka3 and Kb4 -- white cannot prevent the king escaping via the white squares....

Read jfkjmh's posts.

1 Bc7-e5, K-a2
2 K-c2, P-a5
3 Be5-a1, P-a4
4.Bbe5!, a3
5.Kc3, Ka1
6.Kb3+, Kb1
7.Ba1-a2, Kc3#

I thought it was draw too. Almost everyone here did at first, i think. Very impressive/complicated puzzle. But it looks like it is a win. Can you find a way out of this? Try and see.

Surely you meant 4.Bbe5! a3 5.Kc3 Ka1: 6.Kb3+ Kb1 7.Ba1 a2 8.Kc3 followed by checkmate as we know it?
Yes, that was my mistake, But it certainly can be forced.

Oh well, instead of the $1000, you could just pay for my subscription when this one runs out.
