Don't you wish you could watch multiple channels at once and still understand them all.
umm.. no. It decreases the experience. less is more.
Exercise- you do to get fit, stronger. Don't you wish you could exercise more efficiently.
not really. I like the pain and the way it frees your mind from all the baggage. exercise without pain leaves me a feeling like it was all for nothing. I used to do competitive sports when I was younger, and did quite well, but got fed up with the competing.
Read-don't you wish you could faster and still understand what you are reading.
actually, I wish I read slower. 🙂
Music-don't you wish you had better hearing so you could hear better or play better music if your into that.
not really. it goes towards dimensions you can't describe as 'better'. doing it 'better' is what's wrong with mainstream music, and why it's so uncredibly boring.
As for beer, don't you wish you could drink tons and tons and still be able to drink more?
now that would be nice! 😀
Originally posted by scrumpymanjackI don't know if there's dvd's for 2000+, but if there is, they might be the way to go. at least when I watched yasser seirawan's pro chess, it was everything that books lack. fun and entertaining.
... but I am willing to put in some effort. I just don't want to do it with books (or at least not mostly with books). That is because I don't enjoy the method or therefore the "journey". With computers, multimedia etc. there must be a way to improve that is more interactive and, in short, fun.
another way would be to make up some kind of way to study books differently. something to give it positive connections, a bit like that falling-in-love scheme. or, you could alternate the fun chess with the boring chess?
but I fear that in the end, there's no way to completely avoid biting the bullet...
Well, TonyTiger, given that you are heading for exactly where I want to go I'll take your word for it. In fact, I never really doubted it. Just wondered if there was a more fun or interactive way of doing it. This thread has certainly turned up a few ideas - and a few good sites, too. Thanks to all of you.
