Bedlam confirms my situation. My rating is higher on Playchess, next ICC, then lowest FICS. Of course that's only two people. Anybody else out there who plays on multiple blitz sites have rating difference?

The blitz ratings on playchess seem to vary wildly compared to OTB ratings. Its not uncommon for a 2100 FIDE player to have 2600 blitz and for a GM to have 2500. I guess its just down to speed of the players and how much practice they have at blitz. In 3+0 iv seen Adams lose to players who he would simply crush OTB.

Sorry to get back on topic but... There has been a lot of talk about the merits of the Blitzin GUI compared to that of Playchess.com. However, it is mostly ineffectual because ICC does not depend on Blitzin. I've experimented with ICC using many other interfaces like Icarus (my favourite alternative) and Winboard (if you like one interface for everything). Those finding the graphics in Blitzin insufficient or wanting more should consider the alternative interfaces available.
Originally posted by exigentskyGood point. With playchess, you have no choice regarding interface. With ICC and FICS, you have many to choose from, although the blitzen (default) interface is one of the best--clean, clear, and rich in the needed features. For quality 2D Staunton sets, the Fritz and family GUI is better than any others available, IMHO.

Forget Icarus, I just tried the new BabasChess 3.9B. It is the BEST interface I have ever used in any internet service. Even better than playchess.com imo. It supports ICC just fine! Try it out. The pieces look better too 😉

Thats an in game screenshot. I cant see ICC ever coming slightly close to that.
