Bishops aren't better in and of themselves. They are just a factor on the board and the myth that they are better stems from the fact that, in general, it is easier to bring about a position where they are good. BUT in this position they have already reached their prime, they will not get any better from here. Whereas the knights can become pretty dominati ...[text shortened]... b7+. It seems like ...Nb4 walks into a perpetual. I'm probably missing something here though.

I've come to realise that higher rated players agree to draws in the most complex of positions some with a lot of pieces left on the board. Hopefully as I become stronger I'll be better able to appraise positions.

it would be interesting to see you play piranha pack
Here I'd try some opening trap (I am what I am - a cheapo merchant)
and get bounced, though it would be in a fairly instructive and brutal manner.
Here is what happens when I play a good player on here.
Game 5986142
A game I've twice won OTB because they never played 13...Ke6.
So I fired a few pawns at him and then resigned.
Pretty pathetic play by me.
If my trap works Game 5229127 then I look good. Nay brilliant.
Here is an OTB version of same trap played years earlier.
My opponent played 2.Bc4 to avoid my Latvian.
5.Nxe5 is the blunder, they should leave the e-pawn alone and develop.

Fear of losing in complex position,
draw suited one player,
draw suited both players,
pre-arranged to carve up prize money.
player with plus in deep time trouble,
Weaker player snatches at the grading points a draw would give.
(if a stronger player offers you a draw the chances are you are winning).
