The only reason people want to change the name ...
FRC and Chess 960 share the rule concerning king placement. Limiting the starting position to 960 possibilities requires such a rule. There are folks who think they are playing FRC, but are using the less restrictive shuffle chess rules.

You're all wet,marauder-when Fischer dies(his body that is,his brain rotted long ago)the world loses just another pathetic, paranoid, hate mongering psycho loser. Any fame Fischer achieved as a great chessplayer was destroyed with his anti-Semitic rants, his glorifying of the WTC attacks, his misanthropy towards the world in general. I,for one, will shed no tears at his passing. By the way, have the Icelanders kicked him out, yet?

No, they love 'em; the Icelandic Chess Federation posted an online petition for our nitwit president to pardon him and myself and a bunch of others from this site and thousands from the USCF happily signed it. The name Fischer will be respected and revered by chess players long after idiots like you and Trains are dust; and no one will really care what ...[text shortened]... I Hate Bobby Fischer but Real ChessPlayers Don't! It's Sooooooooooooo Unfair!" Grow up, twit.
