the following game has merely a positional pawn sac, but think the final position is sheer poetry.

ssushi - yup I wondered would you find this thread! I knew I knew I knew not to take that Bishop... but then I did 🙁
ouermyhte - he could have avoided mate (for a while) by trading Q for N early.
Steve Todd - when I say I saw it what I mean is I THOUGHT I saw it. That's why some of my sacs very unsound. After Rhg1 (NOT rdg1 cos I wanted h ...[text shortened]... famous mating pattern that name escapes me now
but my favourite was demonseed. gets my rec.
Was very dodgy.

This isn't one of my games.... (Ironman31 vs. Kingcaptured)
But it is just damn beautiful.
Game 623298
My question is, did IM31 know it was going to turn out this way, when he made the queen for rook trade?

This is a sort of exchange sacrifice, queen for rook knight and a pawn. I thought my queenside pawns were strong enough to win through: Game 994629

f6 was definitely better..............
Well, I don't have any giant sneaky sacrifices or anything but I have some smaller ones. I don't want to go look them up though. I'm mainly a pretty straight forward player, I either attack like a madman or I try to trade down and keep it slow (I prefer this) so neither style of play allows me to sacrifice (I don't generally want to either).

Move 27..............Queen sac!! Game 1111957🙄
I'm not sure if this game counts. After some disastrous development on my part, I was in a dire situation and decided to sac my queen (only option really) for some counterplay, which worked and I should have won with 32... Nb3.
