my new best sacrifice game ever. Made a mistake and let his Queen in then just went at him hell for leather. Course it was nice of him to keep snapping up the bishop and pawns but what a nice win. loads of pins. tasty.

Finishing previous two posts:
What I particularly like is the devastation of the black field at the end of the game:

I can stare at this end position for hours! (Well, practically!)
I like this recent game as I had my rook en prise for 2 moves before he took it... and lost to a nice double check. Game 1139891

Forget pretty. Just storm the gates I say. I enjoyed this game because of the way the bishop pair combined to drive away the Queen and then crack open the King's defences.

I like sacrifices on the King's defensive position. And sometimes they even work out! Given the quality of the opposition, this is certainly my best win to date.

I'm a sucker for sacrifices. Like my profile says I go for them sometimes when they are VERY unsound but there's nothing like forcing a win by throwing your pieces at your opposition. Here's a recent game I like. I know I had 300 point rating advantage but I did see the mate from the point I gave him the pawn on g4. And giving up 2 bishops plus rook for a mate is always fun!

I enjoyed this one because it worked out. While I had a lot of movement for my bishops and Black's bishop stuck on the worst of all squares (why did he go there?), I wasn't getting anywhere and also a bit bored with pushing pieces around with no proper plan. So after a bit of calculation and crossed fingers, I decided to bash down the front door. It goes to show that you don't need a lot of pieces on the board to make a winning sacrifice.

At about move 15 I'm hoping that my opponent won't be able to resist the pieces I leave exposed.
