You know what is an injustice? Using several programs, databases, opening books and achieving a GM title in CC chess when you are only a 1500 at OTB chess.
with seconds of googling I got some strong cc players who are/were also strong otb. jean hebert, paul keres, alekhine, euwe, ulf andersen...
Perhaps it is time we revisited this issue given the resurgence of players with "move=0" in their profile and they have "time" to post in the forum (usually spam or make some wild assertions).
While I would welcome the removal of the childish "recs" (this is not myspace.com), I would urge for the replacement of that with rating, so that at a glance you can see a players rating, moves and location in the forum posts.
It would then be easier to avoid the posts with moves=0 stuff.
Originally posted by z00tI have a better idea. Why don't we punish the spammers and abusers, and leave those who play by the rules alone?

Originally posted by ItalyBoyBlueSome of the biggest dumbasses are the so called subscribers who interupt chess discusions with sheer stupidity. How many times have you seen a guy discussing e.g improving his chess or a guy playing in the EU/Brit championship and then the idiots with stars come and post crap?

You may not know that this site is supported by non-subcribers who click on adverts. Where will the revenue generated by these non-subscribers come from if all we had were the so called subscribers?
Think before you start typing, and respond with valid points.
Originally posted by ItalyBoyBlueI once got 18 recs for discovering a workaround for a bug in the forum search page. (It was only showing one page of posts; older posts could not be searched.) This fix benefitted both subscribers and non-subscribers.

You're narrow-minded and naive to think that the only way of contributing to a site is to pay $$.
