He also said that he came to save that which is lost.

Mark 2:17
When Jesus heard it, He said unto them, “They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”

Sinners to Repentance. That means these sinners must stop sinning and become righteous. So if someone who is a sinner follow Jesus commandments they will stop sinning and they will be righteous and they will be in the Kingdom of God.

That is how Jesus saves the lost. By telling they how to do good works so that they can enter the Kingdom of God.

Sinners don't just follow the commands of Jesus before they repent and believe in Him and His teachings. For that faith is required. You keep on putting the cart before the horse.

Faith is required to follow Christ? Did the Good Samaritan have faith?

Do all those professing faith follow Christ?

Faith and following Christ are two separate and independent things

Faith is required for believing in Jesus and confessing as well as repenting from your sin so that Jesus can cleanse you and set you free from both the power and condemnation of sin.

Maybe you could do with some faith as well, then you might actually practice what you preach. 😉

Faith is not a requirement to practice anything.

Withoit faith it is impossible to please God. You can do your 'good works' but without faith they do not please God.

Your definition of faith is incorrect, and that is why you fail to understand that verse.

There is a whole long list of things that please God.
God loves a cheerful giver for example.
Do all the worlds cheerful givers have faith in Christ?
Were there no cheerful givers prior to Christ?

You are the one changing the definition of faith. The Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. That means a cheerful giver who does so without faith does not please God.
