Would let murderers live, thieves not to repay what they have stolen, and suffering in general that comes from sin to continue to harm those who are guiltless forevermore.

Those that repent have turned from those sins, and Christ has paid for them.

However, if you repent in jail after murdering someone, you still should get the death penalty and let God sort things out in the next life.

Many Christians believe that all of their sins, past, present and future, has been "repaid" by God via Jesus. As such they themselves do not have to "repay" anything. And unless they cease to sin, they will "continue to harm those who are guiltless". And they believe that they will receive eternal life / live in the Kingdom regardless.

Encumbered as you are with your ideology, how can you be sure that Hitler wasn't doing what your God figure wanted him to do as an act of vengeance against the Jews and other targets of divine wrath?

Naturally, the thief who died with Jesus was unable to give back what he had stolen.

The issue is repentance, turning away from sin and wanting to make restitution.
