@secondson saidIsn’t that what happened to your Jesus? Didn’t he get booted from some spirituality forum or another?
@FMF @divegeester
Judging by the preponderance of thumbs down you two have received in this thread it should be obvious to you both that your statements, comments and assertions are unworthy to be considered spirituality forum debate material.
@suzianne saidMe saying "You should have taken Ghost of a Duke's advice" sounds to you like an implicit threat? Gosh.
That sounds like an implicit threat.incessantly until he finally left the forums?
Ghost of a Duke's advice was "We've all be there old chap. In this forum in particular, quickly own an erroneous statement, never double-down."
Where is the "threat" angle, implicit or otherwise?
@secondson saidI am unimpressed by the OP. If you see the perspectives I share as coming from atop a "high horse", that's a matter for you and your sense of self in this environment, and not really for me.
Read the OP and come down off your high horse.

@hakima saidBut maybe 'social media' is.
Spirituality is anything but a popularity contest.
Maybe Spirituality meeting Social Media is always going to throw up situations where people have difficulty processing dissent and disagreement and, instead, start thinking of appealing to a perceived gallery, likes & dislikes, "online allegiances", and thumbs down and whatnot..

@fmf saidAgreed. With the exception of the ... thread, this forum does not take me to a peaceful space, but it does “clear away the cobwebs” and provide a framework for considering my own spiritual path and reinforces my belief that while Sangha has an important place in my own spirituality, so does solitude and self-reflection.

@hakima saidPresumably, the likes of SecondSon want me to post in a more scornful and scathing way like Suzianne or himself.
thread, this forum does not take me to a peaceful space
If I conveyed and shared my perspectives and opinions in a style similar to hers [when she reacts to virtually everything I say], then things would be very ugly here, especially in view of how prolific I am.
However, I don't. So things are not as bad as they could be.
@petewxyz saidWhich regular posters here have a "style of communication" that you endorse?
I think it would take a significant change in the style of communication most commonly displayed in this forum for the title Spirituality Forum to be deemed as anything other than misleading. Please feel free to discuss.
And which ones, aside from me, would like to see make "significant change" [or simply stop posting?] in order that the title Spirituality Forum would no longer be deemed - by you - to be misleading?
@fmf saidI do not find either you or divegeester scornful or scathing. I do find your questions pointed and persistent which have the potential for beneficial self reflection and critical thinking. Personal spiritual seeking always requires hard questioning and being held to the fire…

I want burning, 'burning'.
Be friends
with your burning. Burn up your thinking
and your forms of expression!”

@secondson saidThat's what Grampy Bobby's family let people know when ill-health forced him to stop using his computer. And then they announced that he had finally died of the illness in March this year.
Not entirely true.

@secondson saidBut he did get booted, primarily because his spirituality didn’t conform, right?
There's no comparison between Jesus and the likes of divegeester and FMF.
@secondson saidBut isn't the point more about what it means to be seeking to be popular or seeking approval on a forum where debates and discussion obviously lead to disagreements and unpopular stances?

@fmf saidThings are not as good as they could be if you weren't so cleverly disguised, along with your sidekick divister.
