Anyway, if there was nothing in his videos that could be found to contravene Biblical principles then there would be no reason for the brothers to bring it to his attention. The brothers are not policemen, they dont go around looking for reasons to disfellowship people. If a mater comes to their attention then they deal with it. Prince would have been asked if there was anything which he knew of which prevented him from being a representative of Jehovahs witnesses and the brothers would have left it at that. If something came to light afterwards, just by way of example like his videos were sexually explicit or then they would have spoken to him and asked him to consider certain Biblical principles which would have a bearing on the matter, reasoning with him from the scriptures. The brothers understand that change takes time and clearly Prince felt that the teachings of Jehovahs witnesses were a protection from all kinds of immoral things.
And whether or not it was "contrary to Biblical standards" was entirely his decision and none of the JW organisation's business? This is what you appeared to say in your previous post. They would have asked him but the decision about his own art would have been deemed to be among "his personal affairs", is that right?

Do you think Prince was held to exactly the same standards - in Minnesota - as you would be - in Scotland?

Originally posted by FMFYes if he was a porn star, or a drug dealer or something like that. But a musician, there is no grounds, music is not against the Bible standards.

How much time did Prince need to change and create art that was in accordance with JW principles?

Originally posted by FMFI dont know how much time he would have needed, but meeting minors in night clubs is certainly not in harmony with the principles of Jehovahs witnesses. Strange for a brother to act like that.

Prince's music and video art "is not against the Bible standards"?

In view of the nature of his art - before and since 2001 - I find it bizarre that he was a JW and that you accept it when one bears in mind your criticizing people for things like watching Harry Potter movies or the Olympics in the past, and your insistence that oral sex - a topic Prince has touched upon countless times - is "not Biblical" or whatever it was you said.
And here you are promoting Prince as a JW. Everything I have said has been a directly related to your OP.
If you have made yourself look furtive then it is because you have been facetious and evasive, page after page.

This was from 2006:
"Stop it, baby
You're a V.I.P. at least to me
Come here and show me some ID
Eye know you're fine from head to pumps
If u were mine we'd bump bump bump
You're much too young to peep my stash
You're tryin' to write checks you're body can't cash
You can't hang with this, girl, look out
[... and so it carries on in that vein... ]
Lolita! yeah?
How bad are you, girl? Bad!
Then what you wanna do? Whatever you want
Then come on let's dance! Dance!
Imagine me on the tip of your tongue
If I took a sip then eye would be on the run
Hellhounds barkin' 'round my door
I can't sip you once 'less eye sip you some more."
