The term 'virgin' can and does commonly refer to both sexes, and has been used this way for almost 700 years.

What comes to mind is not the "meekness of Christians", as you put it, but instead this furious intellectual fumbling of some Christians triggered by what you presumably feel is the traumatizing and intrinsic dirtiness of sex - a form of conflicted repression with which Catholics, in particular, seem so deeply inculcated.
And what on Earth does Islam have to do with this?

Islam has everything to do with it. You and others of your ilk never seem to raise issues about Mohamed and any behaviors on his part. Why? Because you are a cowardly lot, content with picking on Christians, raising behavioral questions about the purest being who ever existed. Blasphemy appears to be alright by you. Why not about Islam? Because you are scared of muslims.
Since you so obviously are repelled by Christianity, why don't you go ahead and posit your musings on religion in general or Islam in particular?
