@galveston75 saidCan you put a date on that. (Maybe write it in pencil).
Lol. Nope, not hardly my friend. Just because you have no relationship with Jehovah does not negate the fact that he does exist. Prophecies in the bible are being fulfilled as we speak. So you can deny Jehovah now but you will soon get to know him.....
JW.ORG
And a heads up. The end isn't nigh. How many lives has your church ruined peddling that nonsense?
If you would actually read the Bible, you would know the answer of a "date".
If someone was a JW and decided to leave, that was their decision. If one does not open their heart and let Jehovah help them in seeing the truths in the Bible, then it's not for them.
Now if you don't have any questions pertaining to "learning" about God's word, I don't see that we have anything else to discuss.............
@galveston75 saidIf the date was clear, why has your church got it wrong so many times? (And had so many of your church's followers putting their lives on hold for events that never transpired).

And it is 'you' who comes to this forum to load dump your snakeskin oil and then run to the hills when you face any probing questions pertaining to the stuff you have regurgitated. Your church has rendered you an individual completely incapable of free thinking and totally reliant on the indoctrination of your elders that has clearly twisted scripture and led to quite frankly cruel, self serving and malevolent practices that targets vulnerable members of the community and ostracizes those who don't open themselves up to your non-biblical dogma.
I find you to be particularly feeble minded and a poor representation of your church. Before your last 'fleeing to the hills' you even threw your own church's founder out of the window to distance yourself from what he had written. - Far better I think for you to be a silent Jehovah Witness, especially when it comes to the internet. Nobody here has anything to "learn" from you.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidHoly Ghost! Were you not taking a sabbatical from the public forums?

These matters on Jehovah's Witnesses has you back in the thick of it.
Needless to say the End is indeed nigh, because it's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine, for one.
"The Jehovah’s Witnesses are discouraged from looking into Jehovah’s Witness history or old Watchtower literature which is replete with contradictions, altered doctrines, and false prophecies. Instead, they are indoctrinated repeatedly against basic Christian doctrines.
The Watchtower organization of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is a non-Christian organization that uses its people to promulgate false doctrines, collects “contributions” for distribution of a multitudinous amount of literature, and expands its grip into the lives of its members and their families. The Jehovah’s Witness organization is a non-Christian cult."

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidWhat????? You can't be serious!!!! Many JW's have library's at home and we try to get all the literature both old an new that we can. And if you ever visited any Kingdom Hall or better yet the Society's library's in NY, it would make you look so foolish in thinking any of us are discouraged from any literature that has EVER been printed. Holy cow! That's a new one to me......

@galveston75 saidCutting through your fake persona sir. You often present as a civil poster, but turn on a dime when your indoctrinated views are questioned.
@Ghost-of-a-Duke
Getting a little testy huh?
@galveston75 saidYou were clearly oblivious to Russell's stated views about Jesus being worthy of worship (as expressed in Zion's Watch Tower 1880). If this were not the case you would not have made the previous erroneous statement that your church has never worshipped Jesus.

But let's be clear. Russell 'was' the founder of your church and he 'did' promote the worship of Jesus.
@galveston75
Jehovah's Witnesses started in 1870 when Charles Taze Russell led Bible studies in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Jehovah's Witnesses movement came out of the Bible Student movement, also founded by Russell. When he started to dispute some traditional Christian views, the Jehovah's Witnesses were born. (Wiki)
Why have you denied that Russell was the founder of your church? Are his views really that repugnant to you that your have to whitewash him out of your church's history?
@galveston75 saidWell at least he’s addressing you old chap…

Here’s a poignant question for you if you have the courage to answer it before Jehovah.
Is being an actual member of the Jehovahs Witness church a prerequisite for access to the paradise afterlife?
@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidTrue! But at the same time it's never entirely moving either, since this being is already present everywhere, and there is nowhere else to go. The old philosophical dilemma on the age-old question. Is everything in flux, or at rest?

@Ghost-of-a-Duke saidWhere did I ever refute him? But there were others too at that time that were very suspect of the "churches teachings".
