Originally posted by robbie carrobieThere is no need for "free moral agents" to "take responsibility" for masturbation. There is no moral issue surrounding it, in and of itself. If practitioners want to compare it to sneezing in some way, what issue does it raise in your mind? In other words, if what I said does not strike you as being a point relevant to the point you made, then what was your point?
I am not sure what your point is, have i not said that we are free moral agents responsible for our own actions, did i exclude gays from that statement, no? then what is your point? The statement was made against the erroneous assertion that masturbation was as involuntary as sneezing made by wolfgang, an assertion that I reject, now why this should pose problems or why it should be taken out of context i cannot say.

I think they have traits that could be seen as masked homosexuality.

Based on your response to me, wolfie's question to you is perfectly logical.
You are claiming (despite a whole Bible full of of evidence relating to Bride and Groom, man and wife, love and marriage) that the only reason that two people should marry is to have sex. How low you set your expectations and how shallow is your perception of god's purposes ...[text shortened]... can't because now you have to stay with this person you neither love nor like nor fancy FOREVER!
The Bible says that it is better to get married and have sex, than to engage in fornication.
You are twisting that to mean - the only reason to marry is to have sex ?
Im going to stop talking to fools. I will have to put you in that group.

The bible does not condone marriage arbitrarily as a source of sexual release.

I think it does... :
1 Cor 7:2 Nevertheless, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife, and let every woman have her own husband.
Make your mind up.

Retract this nonsense Robbie!
I said masturbation was akin to blowing ones nose - ie a voluntary action.
I did not equate masturbation to sneezing!!
And you talk about statements being taken out of context!!!!
