From a bible standpoint there is no such thing as Gods country. If there is please quote it. There is reference to Gods people. These people remain Gods people regardless of the country in which they find themselves.
@kellyjay saidSure looks like the heat is kicking in this coming week!!!
It is God's universe and all in it no matter what people say or think, the countries are less than a drop in the bucket to the Almighty. I will say, I love Texas!
@galveston75 saidDidn't really get an answer on this: "if God did have a country" here on earth today, what would it be like? What differences if any would there be as opposed to other countries?
But the question I've also asked here is "if God did have a country" here on earth today, what would it be like? What differences if any would there be as opposed to other countries?
@galveston75 saidOk as you are repeatedly insisting on an answer:
Didn't really get an answer on this: "if God did have a country" here on earth today, what would it be like? What differences if any would there be as opposed to other countries?
The first thing I’m sure of is that there would be no religious organisations claiming to be the sole holders of god’s truth while simultaneously covering up the reporting of child sex abuse, who bully their members through threats of ostracisation and who encourage the sacrificing of children through the withholding of blood transfusions in order to appease their god’s demands.
@galveston75 saidGod cannot actually have a country on Earth without His Direct Kingship or will involved -- so it seems, so it seems. I am sure, of course, an omnipotent God could orchestrate that if that was His Purpose with the world today... But it isn't.

I would say this, though... I am not a theologian... But:
- Spiritual growth remains in heaven; and so does free will.
- It would be a monarchy, but there would still be a sense of justice that transcended "rank," so to speak, and thus would also be egalitarian.
- There'd be no hunger or illness.
... and just to add to the fun here... There would be no divorce, no abortions, no willful homosexuality, and we'd all be cognizant of the fact that we will be vegetarians in the afterlife and will probably have very robust laws for the protection of animals.
I hope that can inspire some conversation.

It is stated over 300 times in the Bible that God is "the God of Israel".
Sounds to me as though Israel is God's country.

You neither read the Bible nor do you think for yourselves.
Israel is a country geographically according to men.
And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: .. (Genesis 32:28 KJV)
Israel is a people according to God.
They are the descendants of Jacob, called the children of Israel
The Land of Canaan is the land that God gave to His people Israel.
@secondson saidGo to church
Read a verse, drink a beer. Read a verse, drink a beer. Get drunk and post your interpretations.
Listen to the pastor preach,
Fall asleep
Wake up to sing and clap
Shout Praise the Lord
Give the pastor your money
Go home
Repeat every Sunday.
