@ghost-of-a-duke saidI agree, I had the same situation recently with someone knocking, just different story line for $150.00 and some scrap hvac units to break down. I’ve had a lot of people work for me over the years and heard every story and personal situation and knew things wouldn’t work out from the start. At the same time I knew he really was struggling and needed my help at that time. After a month of never showing up to earn more or help me stain my wood floors I sanded only wanting more and more like he was one of my children {he’s my age} I had to cut ties. I started by telling him I would trust and take him at his word as a man and he broke it, so the same feelings about helping him again.
There is a difference between giving people the benefit of the doubt and losing trust in somebody completely.
I gave the example previously of giving money to a lady who came to my door, saying she was a neighbour and that her car had broken down. (Needed money for a taxi to get to an interview). My wife thought I was daft trusting somebody like that, and the pers ...[text shortened]... ever to reappear at my door she would find my trust in her had gone. - Just as it had gone with you.

@divegeester saidWell you did both.
I have no recollection of calling you that upon meeting, nor of playing chess with you.

@divegeester saidI’ll leave this with you then, Ghost of a Duke.
Again…
There difference is I make these comments to your face, you have the opportunity to retort, to reply, to disagree, to challenge, to put a different perspective.
What you did was underhand and malicious and I know you know it. You were white-knuckle angry and you lashed out.
If you acknowledge that and if you made a sincere public apology I would accept it ...[text shortened]... o. I’d forgive you ~ seeing as how this is the spirituality forum after all. And I mean that.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidHave you forgotten how dire it was trying to converse with dj2becker? Perhaps he had a reason for posting like he did. What is your reason for doing so?
"Communicating with ghost of duke these days is like talking to someone on the spectrum."

@ghost-of-a-duke saidWhy do you persist with the accusation against divegeester three years later even though your error was pointed out to you three years ago?
I stand by everything I have written, including that your finger prints were all over it.
@divegeester saidNo, my memory on it is perfect. I can tell you just about everything we talked about.
I have found one game between us from a few years ago and it was you who concluded it, not me.
I shall presume your memory of the other thing is equally flawed.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidHow on Earth can you claim you had "lost trust completely" in divegeester in August 2020? What is it you think he had done to you at that point?
There is a difference between giving people the benefit of the doubt and losing trust in somebody completely.

@ghost-of-a-duke saidHow is my challenge to PettyTalk lying about him not using his username elsewhere any of your concern?
How is that any of your concern?

@divegeester saidBecause it's a bizarre challenge. Again, who cares if a player uses the same username on another site? (Apart from you, apparently).
How is my challenge to PettyTalk lying about him not using his username elsewhere any of your concern?
