I'm a young earth creationist, and I believe in evolution. Anything can be
used to be anti-God even the Bible. People use almost anything to suit their
own ends.

This wasn't intended to be another (yawn!) thread about evolution per se, but merely to point out that it is factually incorrect to state that Ev ...[text shortened]... , no matter how uncomfortable and abhorrent the concept may be to them, and if not, why not.[/b]
statement.
I'm not giving it credit for all the changes many want to give evolution
credit for. That is not disbelieving in evolution that is not agreeing with the
amount of change is possible within life forms. I accept that when you see
changes in a life form kinds like a dog, you start with dog kinds you end
with them you don't go from that into a bat, whale, tree, or flower over
huge amounts of time.
If you wish to promote changes in life forms over millions and billions of
years, by all means you can do that, and claim evolution is how it was done.
I reject that, but accept that we can have changes within kinds that will
make a difference, but not so much to change one kind into another.

However:

I believe God created it all but .....6K ? I go back n forth on this but for me look at the size of the universe and the Light/travel time dilemma this shows an old universe. Even if the measurements are off by 10% there are objects way further out than 6k light years from us. If God created the heavens and earth only 6000+ years ago we should be in a 6k light year cocoon/bubble with a blazing bright night sky filled with all of the stars at 6K light years around us right? However this is not what we see is it?
