Yes, ultimately the beast is Satan. However, there are those beast empires or kngdoms, within which Satan works, such as Babylon, Greece, and Rome. These are what we are trying to identify with the beasts in Revelation 13. We may not know exactly until after the beast arises, however, we have clues from knowing what empires represented the previous beasts ...[text shortened]... tioned was the Ottoman Empire.

Actually satan is never referred to as a "beast" or "the beast" we are talking of here in the Bible.....
(Revelation 12:3 NKJV)
I think one could say a dragon is a beast and this dragon is identified in verse 9.
So the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him.
(Revelation 12:9 NKJV)
“Here is the mind which has wisdom: The seven heads are seven mountains on which the woman sits. There are also seven kings. Five have fallen, one is, and the other has not yet come. And when he comes, he must continue a short time. The beast that was, and is not, is himself also the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to perdition.
“The ten horns which you saw are ten kings who have received no kingdom as yet, but they receive authority for one hour as kings with the beast. These are of one mind, and they will give their power and authority to the beast. These will make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb will overcome them, for He is Lord of lords and King of kings; and those who are with Him are called, chosen, and faithful.”
Then he said to me, “The waters which you saw, where the harlot sits, are peoples, multitudes, nations, and tongues. And the ten horns which you saw on the beast, these will hate the harlot, make her desolate and naked, eat her flesh and burn her with fire. For God has put it into their hearts to fulfill His purpose, to be of one mind, and to give their kingdom to the beast, until the words of God are fulfilled. And the woman whom you saw is that great city which reigns over the kings of the earth.”
(Revelation 17:9-18 NKJV)
I have a feeling that the Ottoman Empire is the 7th beast Kingdom that came after the Roman Empire and will be healed to become the 8th beast Kingdom. The five that had fallen when John recorded this vision were Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, and greece. The Roman Empire was still existing and was the 6th beast Kingdom. The Ottoman empire is the 7th beast kingdom, which was fatally wounded and dissoved in 1922. This kingdom is to be healed and become the 8th beast kingdom that consists of the Islamic nation that are ruled by the kings of the earth that will fight against Christ at His coming.

When I was researching the mountains of Mecca or Makkah, it appeared that there more than seven mountains that were identified. However, I came upon this site that divides them up into 7 mountains and 7 hills. Perhaps this is the solution.

What about Russia, Germany or China?

You could make a movie out of it.

When's he coming?
We don't know. We are told the AntiChrist will come to power approx. 7 years before the Battle of Armageddon, when Christ is to return as a 'Messiah-Warrior' to vanquish Satan and build the 'New Jerusalem'.
3.5 years into his reign, he will receive a grievous head wound and then appear to 'rise from the dead' and declare himself to be God. The Mark and the persecution of Christians will start in earnest.

Who is a liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son. Whoever denies the Son does not have the Father either; he who acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
These things I have written to you concerning those who try to deceive you. But the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you do not need that anyone teach you; but as the same anointing teaches you concerning all things, and is true, and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you will abide in Him."
(1 John 2:18, 22-23, 26-27 NKJV)
Although John was writing to the Christians in his time, it is a prophecy of the end time. John writes that we, who have the anointing of the Holy Spirit, do not need anyone to teach us because the Holy Spirit, abiding in us, will teach us all these things.
He writes that the Antichrist is coming in the last hour of the end times. We will know that it is time for the last hour when MANY antichrists have come. It had not been time enough for MANY antichrists to come at the time John wrote this letter.
So what exactly are the antichrist that John writes about? According to John the antichrists are liars that deny Jesus is the Christ, that is Yahshua is the Messiah, and also deny the Father and the Son. They deny the Son and therefore do not have the father.
Today, there are a great multitude of people that have come that deny the Father and the Son. I am referring specifically to the MANY people, in the religion of Islam, that have come in the name of Allah and delare that God has no son and that Jesus is just another prophet and that Mohammed is the greatest prophet. They have their own prophecy of a coming messiah that they call the Mahdi. Could this one be THE ANTICHRIST that John writes about? The answer I receive from the anointing of the Holy Spirit within me says, YES.
HalleluYah !!! Praise the Lord! Glory be to God! Holy! Holy! Holy!
