In many ways, government has to be the least efficient vehicle by which to help the poor. Non-profits are much better.
Do you give nearly as much to "non-profits" as you pay in taxes?
Of course not.

It seems true, to a blockhead like you, but then again, I'm not an anarchist like you and Steve Bannon. I believe government does have a role and can be benevolent, but only if we remove the greed. I guess the same can be said of the church.
Anarchists are those who ignore laws and do as they please, much like Obama writing Executive Orders that defy immigration laws or ignoring Congress to consult them after so many days at war in Libya, that sort of thing.

And government is less efficient because of the layers of bureaucracy through which each dollar travels (and gets smaller,) and employees whose primary focus is self-preservation and whose performance evaluation is based on quantity and not quality.

You want to "limit" it right down to the ground.
Don't worry, whodey, you and your alt-right pals will ruin this country soon enough, just by doing what you've been doing. There are signs that the Republicans are firing up their elections machine again to insure Republican wins in 2018. Have patience, you'll get there.
