“The Railway” IS the Wetherspoon pub in Rushden. Surely you would know this?

You said you went to a Wetherspoon then onto a local which I wouldn’t know, and which you now claim is The Railway.

Lol.

Everyone has always condemned the sort of thing that Saville did. Everyone has always hated predatory sexual behavior in the modern world...

The only thing that has changed is that we are now able to find out about all of these shocking incidents.

It's the internet era that is changing this.

The dinosaur media has a lot to deal with.
I’m some cases you will hear about it. In the UK If it’s a living politician or member of the establishment you probably won’t hear a thing until after they are dead.

Which was the second pub you claim you went to that night?

He was down my place a few time zones over. I have a transmat pad in the sinkhole under my house. Might have to move it because of seepage.

You did, however, inspire me to research pub closing times in the UK. Didn't they relax the laws over there some years back? Where I live we don't have many pubs per se (probably a cultural deficiency) but our bars close at 2 AM.

You are welcome.

May I ask who you think I am, or who you thought I might have been?

I promise I won't look them up to learn how to mimic their posting styles. I'll admit to being tempted, but it seems a bad idea.

So it's fairly clear by the way that you raised your eyebrows to the time that I went down the pub, that you probably aren't a regular late drinker. I would expect most regular drinkers to know that the UK licensing laws allows pubs to stay well into the early hours (The Feathers used to be open until three) should they so choose, and that's been the case for some years.

Judging by the attention that you gave to 22:30 you are probably a drinker of yester-year (if at all) as 22:30 that's when they used to call last orders (22:00 on a Sunday night in the 70's if you were on the wrong side of the Thames - we used to run across the bridge at Staines to get an extra one in).

You didn't pick up my Hospital gauntlet, so it looks sir as if we are playing a games. What I can tell you is that I've written to your local secondary health care trust three times in the last 24 hours. I'll leave you to work out how I know that.

What's the first Chelsea game that you can remember seeing? Mine was the 1967 up final when Bobby Tambling (hence my interest) scored Chelsea's goal when the lost to Spurs. I became a Chelsea fan that day because my uncle (tit) was a Spurs fan. Funny how things work out. Ask me nicely and I'll tell you what major tactical change Dave Sexton made in the 1969/70 replay against Leeds at Old Trafford. Personally I always thought of Leeds as the main adversaries, though my mate from Stoke Newington (George Downing Estate) loathed Spurs. Those were the days when every top club (first division as it was then) all had a good Scotts player. We had two. Can you name them? Shouldn't be a problem to a fan like yourself should it?

I'm only just in from Newcastle, and am going ........... down the pub. No not to Spoons, it'll be heaving on a Friday at this time of year.

Laters.

I will do this with you this weekend. The ball will be in your court as to whether we have a civilised discussion or more of the usual adversarial crap.
