@kellyjay saidMy faith was real. Real like yours is. I believed Christ was ",in" me. Just like you do. But I lost my faith. I haven't betrayed anyone.
If you had
a real relationship with the Lord, you could not deny He is even real; you'd be
grieving for betraying Him by saying it was never really real. If Christ was in you,
how could you deny He is real?
@kellyjay saidI believe different things to you KellyJay.
You do have a different Bible than I do, or you are not reading the whole thing in
context and are putting your spin on the scriptures, again.
I believe in a different God, one who doesn’t commit wilful acts of homicidal wrath, who doesn’t predestine just a “few” people to saved from the wrath and then claim “victory” as he personally burns the remaining masses alive for eternity.
I am also fundamental different to you.
I don’t believe everything my church leader tells me, I don’t swallow vast blocks of dogma whole without first considering the moral implications and spiritual applications of doing so. I post with complete forthright unflinching sometimes brutal honesty, and I never ever lie, I go out of my way to be transparently honest. I enjoy coming in here and unpicking your strange beliefs about eternal torture, multi-headed gods, disbelief in gravity and science generally. It amuses me to watch you dodge questions, evade the awkward juxtapositions presented to you as you try to hold together your wet-paper-bag of extremist “Christian” religiosity. I find it fascinating that you claim to believe that all non Christians will be burnt alive in hell and you spend all your time in here helping an honest apostate like FMF remain there.
I see you as a stubborn prideful poorly educated right-wing backwater American bumpkin with no sense of proportional moral aptitude … and therefore whether not you approve of my beliefs, my behaviours and my communication style means absolutely nothing to me.
Let’s move forward on that basis so I can spare you the effort of these silly little posts about different bibles and what mine tells me to be like. OK?
@divegeester saidDo you think denying Hell is right because you love people? Your love for people
Furthermore, if you cared one tiny bit about “people” you wouldn’t be in this forum all day every day making a fool of yourself, you would out in your neighbourhood calling people to repent and turn to your version of the loving Jesus before he burns them alive for not doing so.
You don’t believe the nonsense you preach about eternal suffering , it’s just a ruse, a riff, it’s a card you play.
has you threatening to slap them, telling them to shut up, belittled them for
holding different views than you? You seem to have no problem telling others what
they should and should do and belittling them for whatever cause you happen to
find at the moment.
You realize, don't you, that the day of judgment has been fixed, it is set already, and
God is not a respecter of persons; He has no favorites; we will be judged in love,
righteousness, and goodness, and every sin will be accounted for and repaid, but
the only place anyone is going to see mercy over judgment is in Christ, all of God's
mercy is found in Christ who will be our judge. If the righteous are just barely saved,
where do you think the ungodly will end up? Where do you think those who deny
Him are going, those who He says, 'Depart from me I never knew you,' even after
they tell Him all the wonderful things they did in His name. Where do you think
all of those who refused to forgive others for the wrongs done to them are going
when Jesus said they would not be forgiven because they didn't forgive?
If I didn't care about people, I wouldn't be sitting here warning them about lies
being told about Hell by the likes of you. You don't take scriptures seriously, but
God does, and what He said He will do, He will do it.

@kellyjay saidWhy are you writing all this stuff instead of being out in your neighbourhood trying to save people from the wrath of your God?

It’s bizarre how you hold your beliefs in one hand and yet do nothing at all about them with the other hand. I don’t know how you sleep at night.

@kellyjay saidOh I see… you’re in here day after day protecting the thousands of people reading my lies about there being no literal hell.

Name them, name ONE!

it more palatable to the masses. It isn't a matter of what sounds better to me; it is
simply speaking the truth, and people will react one of two ways, accept it or reject
it. I cannot protect anyone from hell; we all stand before God condemned right now,
and only Jesus can save us from that fate, not me, and the danger there does not
go away simply by saying it isn't real. Can you guarantee Hell as described in the
Bible isn't real, that what Jesus said about it isn't going to come to pass, that all of
the whats and whys surrounding righteousness and goodness make it a real
possibility? Is that something you can say in front of God and man so that if real
you can make it unreal?
@divegeester saidBut, strangely enough, your God, somewhat modeled after Jesus the Christ, doesn't mind you not only not loving your neighbor, but judging him, mocking him, and making him look like the most bloodthirsty monster ever.

Good for you that your God doesn't give even a rat's ass that you can treat everyone around you like complete crap, but he loves you SO much that he's willing to accept your horrible tendencies to bring you into his kingdom and not judge you as you should be judged.
I am so totally not surprised you can dream up such a God, since your vanity insists on it.
But enjoy. You do you.
