Don't be so incredibly dense. That wouldn't show that the answer is "true". Even if there were some problem with taking the universe as a whole as being "in" itself (I don't really see the problem here, but whatever), bbarr could point to any number of things obviously within the universe to attempt to make the same general point. For example, "the overall structure of the human body has to be at least as complicated as any of its component parts."

Good point. However, it would certainly show that the answer isn't "false."

That's the exact crux of the problem! The question asked for the most complex structure within the group. You cannot say the group itself is the most complex without saying the group is within itself (a nonsensical statement).

Yes, he could have. But, he didn't. Instead of sticking with the statement as written, he tried an end-run and made a point which relied on nonsense.

Good looking out for him, though.

Isn't that quaint: the two of you acting all indignant after being shown to be dead wrong. Again. Guess that just goes to show the nature of your morbid insistence in continuing your visits to a forum which is dedicated to a topic you insist you are repulsed by.

When the targets are easy, you two are like hyenas. When you get rightfully challenged (and found wanting), somehow the other guy's an idiot.

What a bunch of pussies.

Now hold on just a second. You've certainly shown that my answer isn't right. But, you know darn well that doesn't suffice to show my answer is wrong!
