Christ does NOT say that works are necessary, but rather by their works you would know them, a subtle difference, but a difference nonetheless
from your own post above: 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that da ...[text shortened]... ey are moved to do works.
you still haven't answered my question about death bed conversion.
As for deathbed conversions I dont have a clue what that is. I cant seem to find it in the Bible. Christ decides who gets salvation and who does not ... not your buddies in the church... 🙂

edit: I got news for you, all theology and all doctrines are man made. It is how we frame our position and explain our faith
Originally posted by duecerOh ... Yes. there is a new book in the New Testament that they found in the caves ... called Scenario Analysis for the Kingdom. All the 'what ifs' are in there. Sorry youre right. Christ is wrong.

suppose RAJK999 for a moment that you are physically incapacitated. incapacitated to the point that you cannot speak or communicate, and require 24 hour care as you can do nothing for yourself. You wouldn't be able to do any works, so you would burn in the lake of fire? Is that your contention?

Christ said works are necessary. Not me.
Christ never said anything about works being the outward expression .... whatever. Thats rubbish talk. Thats propaganda.
Small minds like yours are easy prey to that kind of talk.
There you go again, Rajk999, with your insults.
It's all well and good if you want to encourage believers to perform good works. But if your concern that Christians make the effort to perform good works is any indication that you actually love Christians, it certainly doesn't show in your behavior toward them.
Our true nature is revealed by our behavior. Christ said, "You can identify them [false prophets] by their fruit, that is, by the way they act. Can you pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?" (Matthew 7:16). By calling people insulting names, as you do on a regular basis, you plainly show yourself to be a thornbush and a thistle, someone from whom we cannot gather good fruit.
Frankly, it is an odd sight, someone like yourself who offers us nothing more than bad fruit (evil works), preaching nothing but good works.

they keep ones ego in check and give us a chance to be humble and move beyond this world.
(sorry to but in)
