So what's in it for the animals?...don't you think it is a bit mean that God lets you and me be humans whilst he lets turkeys be well...food!
Is there some strange kick to be had by creating creatures subordinate to human creatures that would kill just for sport even, and not compensating them for this misery by virtue of an afterlife?

Do you know much history about the place you are currently living? Places that are "haunted" traditionaly have a history of some kind that involves people dying in tragic ways or involve people who dabble in the occult. For example, the story I provided earlier about the woman who lived with someone who dabbled in the occult witnessed supernatural phenomenon because of her friend's dabblings. Also, a common indication of such activity are "cold spots" in a room. Does anyone else sense a presence?

My theory as to why this occurs is that such "hauntings" are due to demonic influences. Often these demonic beings linger behind in areas that have been prone to great evil in the past. It is almost as if they have been empowered by other people who have commited evil acts to inhabit certain areas and more than likely they are territorial much like we are. As far as people lingering behind, however, Biblically this is not supported. Once you die you are taken away. Granted, the demonic realm may mimic those that have passed on as to disguise their true identity.

Do you know one of the most haunted places in the US? It is none other than Gettysburg which is the former sight of one of the, if not the bloodiest battles in American history. Those demonic entities had a field day that day and I think do not wish to leave. You know, its all about the "good old days".

A life used not trying to do that, to me, would be wasted. If there isn't, well, I can't believe that there wouldn't be one. The only other thing I could possibly believe in would be reincarnation into another human.
Now there's a good reason for believing in something - 'I can't believe it's not like this'.
Spend all your time thinking about what comes after if it makes you feel better. I'll focus on what comes now.

Everytime you're bad it feels like someone is watching?
That's called guilt.
Nothing supernatural about that.

Turkey's don't have a soul. And I'm sorry. I misunderstood my pastor's sermon on this subject. I asked him about it, and he told me that not all animals go to heaven. If a wolf is running around somewhere and never even makes contact with a human, it doesn't go to heaven. It, in fact, doesn't go anywhere. A pet however, would go to heaven because of it's companionship with man. A pet brings us joy, so God brings in into Heaven to be with us.

Well, fine then. If there isn't, my life has been wasted. But, what is the point on being here if there is no hereafter? In this case, I'll agree with the Hindus: "It's just torcher."
