Here is a good book that pretty much explains it.

Here is a book that pretty much explains what I said - or part of it, at least - in my first post on page 1 [which, oddly, so upset you that it triggered one of your bouts of talkingabouthitler]:

Whodey reminds me of what followers of Josef Goebbels must have been like.
When you tell a lie , make it a big lie and keep repeating it .
So why is Hitler a "right winger" again?

Oh, that's right, because he killed Jews and tried to conquer the world militarily.

My bad.

This quote is from the Nazi party, who does it sound the most alike?

"We ask that government undertake the obligation above all of providing citizens with adequate opportunity for employment and earning a living. The activities of the individual must not be allowed to clash with the interests of the community, but must take place within the confines and be for the good of all. Therefore, we demand: ... an end to the power of financial interest. We demand profit sharing in big business. We demand a broad extension of care for the aged. We demand ... the greatest possible consideration of small business in the purchases of the national, state, and municipal governments. In order to make possible to every capable and industrious [citizen] the attainment of higher education and thus the achievement of a post of leadership, the government must provide an all-around enlargement of our system of public education.... We demand the education at government expense of gifted children of poor parents.... The government must undertake the improvement of public health -- by protecting mother and child, by prohibiting child labor -- by the greatest possible support for all groups concerned with the physical education of youth. [W]e combat the ... materialistic spirit within and without us, and are convinced that a permanent recovery of our people can only proceed from within on the foundation of The Common Good Before the Individual Good."

I understand the desire by those on the Left to sweep Hitler under the rug and pretend Stalin is somehow morally superior. Joe was just a tad misguided and probably the creation of capitalism and/or Trump.

No one wants to be compared with the Nazi regime because they are universally seen as evil.

Problem is, their legacy and tactics and ideology lives on in other forms.

Put another way, history repeats itself, so to forbid one from pointing out the similarities others today may have with the Nazi regime is absurd and very dangerous. The reason is, those tactics were very successful, many of which are used today.

I have a different world view from the Left.

That means I'm just plum nuts or retarded or a combination thereof.

No. Quite right. And if you were about to get one in Glasgow as a conversation turned nasty, you might not realize it because of the local accent.
