@secondson saidIf you can't give any examples of posts that you think display online disinhibition syndrome, why are you bandying the term around?
Examples? Nope! I can't find a single example anywhere in this forum.
@fmf saidWell, if you don't know that, then you must be struggling with "online disinhibition syndrome".

Sorry FMF, but nobody, not even my wife, gets my sense of humor.
I know Jesus does because He's always laughing at me.
@secondson saidStill no examples from you that illustrate whether or not you actually do know what the term means?
Well, if you don't know that, then you must be struggling with "online disinhibition syndrome".
@secondson saidGosh.
I am for finding fault in what other posters say in debate.
I am against finding fault in others as I have enough of my own, especially in debate.
@fmf saidWell, take your question above for example. You seem to be exhibiting the disinhibition syndrome in that you appear to be assuming a posture of intellectual superiority, as you do in most every post you make, where you have the habit of criticizing others intelligence, inferring you understand more about the things being discussed than everyone else.
Still no examples from you that illustrate whether or not you actually do know what the term means?
You'll deny it of course.
@secondson saidIf I am more intelligent, more educated, more thoughtful, more travelled and worldly wise, more erudite and more eloquent than you, what of it? I can't take responsibility for how inferior it makes you feel or behave.

I am just here to share my perspectives. If you have some enormous chip on your shoulder ~ something that your ludicrous word salads and mistaken use of big words in reply to my kind of self-expression seem to be evidence of ~ I can hardly dumb down my writing and my insights just to make you feel better about yourself.
@secondson saidWhat will I deny? Away from here, sometimes I suffer fools gladly; sometimes I don't. Same as here. Away from here, there are some people who just feel like they are walking into a buzz saw when they talk to me. It happens here too.
You'll deny it of course.
@FMF
Do you not realize you have a bad habit of asking questions of posters by extracting from their comments selected words taken out of context while ignoring the assertions made?
I think it's an aspect of the online disinhibition syndrome you exhibit in this forum.
I think you do it to bolster your high minded opinion of yourself. You're not mine or anyone else's teacher in this forum, at least in the sense you presume you are, and you're not my instructor.
If I have a question I think you may know the answer to I'll ask it. In the mean time you may want to consider what I actually say instead of assuming I don't know what I mean by what I say.
@fmf saidOnline disinhibition syndrome anyone?
What will I deny? Away from here, sometimes I suffer fools gladly; sometimes I don't. Same as here. Away from here, there are some people who just feel like they are walking into a buzz saw when they talk to me. It happens here too.
Another aspect of the syndrome may very well be arrogance.
@fmf saidAnd again another example of online disinhibition syndrome, the aspect of pride and superiority being exhibited.
If I am more intelligent, more educated, more thoughtful, more travelled and worldly wise, more erudite and more eloquent than you, what of it? I can't take responsibility for how inferior it makes you feel or behave.
@secondson saidI think my posting is fine.

@secondson saidHow is it an "example of online disinhibition syndrome"? I have just explained that online or offline, I am what I am. There is no "disinhibition" in either environment. I am just forthright and honest. And some people get their feathers ruffled. It is not "disinhibition".
And again another example of online disinhibition syndrome, the aspect of pride and superiority being exhibited.
@fmf saidI assure you I don't feel the slightest bit inferior to you.
I can't take responsibility for how inferior it makes you feel or behave.
You are far to presumptuous. It affects your perspectives as well as your perceptions, and reveals an inordinate bias against those that disagree with your opinions.
