One or both are certainly wrong.
No one can tell you off for your own religion, but when there's a group there always seems to be a wrong way to do it

That is fine with me if you will just stop posting here and mind your own business.

I reckon Cassaids comments are way better than yours.
And Dasa, any religion that requires you to be so serious is not worth it.
I'm serious about being not serious 😉

Some people here do not wish me to stop, maybe it is because I am doing some good.

Second lesson : No one should stop posting here unless the individual chooses to stop. No one.
It's kind of an American thing. Do you understand ?

It seems that religion comes from hope fueled by fear.
So many different beliefs, so much hope, so much fear.

Don't fear religious wars, don't fear thugs who take over whole countries. All of that angst is not worthy of attention compared to the mansion in heaven.

What a bunch of bull crap.
Originally posted by sonhouseWhy cannot your explanation apply to your own analysis? You talk about 50,000 years ago a son died, and lightening, and how people saw floods and earthquakes, etc. etc. etc. In all this you see a pattern. And you put forth your theory as to the meaning of the pattern you think you see.
One thought, our intelligence enables us to see patterns in randomness when in fact nothing is there. Chimps, for instance, cannot imagine patterns embedded in randomness because they have no sense of mind, they cannot visualize internally the idea there might be an active mind behind everything they cannot understand. Their brains are just not sophisticate gious feelings, they can finally grow up and be adults which as a race, we are not even close.
Why cannot the seeing of patterns where maybe none is apply to your own explanation of the source of religion ?
You're just reasoning - ie. "Others see non-existent patterns. But of course I see REAL patterns and come to teach you what they mean".
Why should we not interpret your pattern seeing as a religion of anti-theism ?
