Angels must fly to and fro above the earth, right?
Well yes there is in the atmosphere around the earth and we see physical creatures such as birds needing wings because of it but angels are spirit creatures. And I'm just thinking back in the past when angels did materialize and were seen by humans and there is no mention of them being seen with wings. Just a thought.

Why do you think man paint angels with wings and why
does the Holy Bible mention these wings?

I can bet money that you can find no reference in the Bible which says or implies that an angel has wings.

Saying I can bet money is just another way of saying Im sure there are no verses which associate angels with wings in the Bible.

You seem to be sure there are .. so lets have the verse ... 🙂

The first time it is mentioned is in Exodus 25:20 when God is giving
Moses instructions for making the mercy seat for the tabernacle.
God said, "And the cherubim shall have their wings spread upward,
covering the mercy seat with their wings and facing each other; the
faces of the cherubim are to be turned toward the mercy seat."

Are you pretending not to know what a cherubim is?

Try again... 😀

From the Webster's New World Dictionary:

Cherub - plural -cherubs, ususally cherubim, cherubims
1. Bible - one of certain winged heavenly beings: Ezek 10.2.
Christian Theol. - any of the second order of angels, just below
the seraphim.

I asked for Bible quotes, not Websters opinion on what Christian theology is about.
Webster is simply describing what Christians believe. It cannot issue a statement of fact about whether or not angels have wings, or if cherubs are angels.

I will repeat .. there are no references in the bible where angels had wings. All references to winged beings were cherubs, seraphims, or people with wings, or statues with wings.

All references to angels were men, and there is no mention of wings. In fact they appeared to be regular men as people mistook them for men. So no wings could have been present.

Why do you say cherubim and seraphim are not angels?
If they were not angels, like Satan was an angel, then what do
you say they were?

A cherubim is a cherubim.
A Seraphim is a seraphim.
An angel is an angel.

Is there some reason why you insist on calling a cherubim an angel.
Do you have some Biblical reason for doing that?

Yes. I don't have anymore time to discuss it. I have some other
work I must do.

Well if you look at other scriptures in the Bible in descriptions of God himself, it mentions him having eyes, tears, nose, hands, gray hair, etc, etc. But God is a spirit and from a human viewpoint we would not be able to see these things as spirits are invisible to us. And these things we have so we can smell, see, touch but a spirit would not need any of these fleshly traits that humans have as they again are spirits that live in a spirit realm that does not have air, or food or things they can touch or smell.
I'm not saying that don't have eyes, ears, etc, of some sort as they do these things but to have such a thing as a wing would not make sence in the invornment that they live in.
And the Bible does give God and other spirit beings these descriptions that we are used to seeing on humans, it gives us some basis to help us picture a spirit as a real being. After all it's a being that is very hard for us to grasp at times.
So we know from Bible scriptures that angels are very mobile and with great speed at times. So for the Bible to describe them as having wings would help us to picture on our level how they get from place to place. But they no doubt have a very special way to do this that we wouldn't understand from our viewpoint.

Is there a passage in the Bible which describes angels with wings?

Where in the Bible does it say God has grey hair or a nose?
