I'd like to get back to the innate thing while I have a little time left today.

If part of your moral code is innately inherited, where did it come from?

My question to you is, if mankind was not made in the image of God, are we then not just glorified animals ourselves?
I do not accept any pronouncements from you about, or the existence of any objective premise based on your imagination with regard to "the image of God".

For the last time, I realize you do not agree with pretty much anything I think. I am merely trying to ascertain your position.

Would you like to comment or not?

"Man" is a mammal that can discuss the distinction they place between man and beast. That's would be a key distinction.

Do you think there is a God somewhere who makes such moral judgements?

In other words, is there and innate right and wrong independent of social norms?

Ask me a question that does not require me to accept your speculation about "the image of God" and I may be able to comment.

The only position I have about "the image of God" is that I have no reason to believe you know anything objective about it.

So why don't you answer my question?

Neither you or I know the answer to this question. This view [of mine] determines what I make of your pronouncements on "moral judgements" and what you do or do not reference.

Which one?

edit:

This one?

If part of your moral code is innately inherited, where did it come from?

The 'human spirit' perhaps, channelled and refined through culture.

The human spirit? Seriously, is that something tangible? Are we born with it? Does the spirit attach itself to us at birth? Does it develop with our bodies in the womb? Is it the human spirit that carries with it a moral code that we draw on as we mature into adulthood?

How does the human spirit "know" right from wrong? And how is that "knowing" passed on into our cognisance?

Can you answer these questions?

Neither of us can. Spirituality, by its very nature, is about these questions.

I have informed them in more than one way how the Bible teach falsity.

Killing billions of animals in the name of false religion is the most obvious evidence to see that the Christian doctrine is in error and therefore false.

The Bible was not written by God and is not the inspired word of God - but fabricated by meat ea ...[text shortened]... ever change - and to continue killing animals to taste blood - will bring spiritual destruction.
Keep your lies to yourself, you offensive hypocrite.

Not to be testy, but speak for yourself. You may not know the answers, but that doesn't mean the answers aren't available to be known.

And don't get me wrong John, I don't know anything perfectly, but God does.

Even if you don't agree that God communicates with us.

But I am speaking for myself. When I say that as far as I am concerned, neither of us know the answers to the questions you mentioned, I am speaking for myself. If I thought you did know the answers, then I would most likely subscribe to the same views as you do.
